Is Pacquiao really slowing down?

This question reminds on the minds of the people who are fans of boxing. The iconic pound for pound Manny Pacquiao had suffered a controversial loss against young Timothy Bradley on his latest fight.

We all know that Pacquiao is starting to gain age and this would affect someone's performance and physical abilities. Some great boxers who lived to there prime would also experience this and this is quite natural since we are all human beings.

Is Pacquiao really slowing down? Since most of his recent fights went to distance and no more early round stoppage or Knockouts. But based on his last fights he was able to dominate major rounds. The Bradley fight he controlled and dominated almost all rounds. Pacquiao dictated the fight from round 1 up to round 9 by which Timothy Bradley admitted he got hurt on those rounds.

People might be saying different conclusions since they were get used to seeing Pacquiao dominating and ending his foes with brutal Knockouts. But never the less Pacquiao is still showing that speed and stamina he has to last up to 12 rounds of non stop boxing.

And this people are saying he is slowing down and the irony of it is when you look at pacquiao's last fight which all went to 12 rounds.

For me on that event were Bradley won their match. Honestly boxing died on that night on Las Vegas!

Badluck for Pacquiao?

As one of the most historic events that will happen again this November 13, 2010. Were the pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao will try to earn his 8th world title championship against Antonio Margarito in the Dallas Texas cowboy stadium.

While Pacquiao's mom Aling Dionisia will personally watch the fight together with other relatives and families. This could be some reasons for a badluck charm for Pacquiao? since this will be the first time that Aling Dionisia will watch her son fight above the ring.

Instead of staying home and lock her self in the room trying to pray and preach. Now Aling Dionisia is going to watch her son fight. All I can say is that it's a sign of support but for the better of winning she rather stay home and do her rituals like preaching. Aling Dionisia's rituals are like asking help and guidance from God as she preaches for prayers.

Not like before were in she was gonna die while praying and do not watch the whole fight. Dionisa might have change and for this instance we just all hope that this has nothing to do with badluck issues. Goodluck to Manny Pacquiao and let him be the first boxer icon to claim 8th world division titles.

Aiming for 8

Manny Pacquiao will soon create another history as his next battle will be again another history in the making. This time he is aiming for his 8 division title. If he is successful on winning again his opponent Antonio Margarito. For sure he will be the new Junior Middleweight Champion.

And for this action he will be the first boxer to gain 8 division title in all 8 different weight divisions. As to other boxers have achieved and most of them just made 4-5 weight division champions.

If pacquiao will be successful then another Filipino history would be written. And be recognized around the world for another record breaking effort. Pacquiao has to much to loose in this fight as he is fighting the "plaster Man" Antonio Margarito who was a controversial boxer after beating Miguel Cotto. Margarito was claimed cheating after the staffs and officials found out that margarito's team used some sort of chemicals to harden the hand wrap.

It's another risk and crucial move that the Filipino pride is doing. I just hope that on their fight they fans will have the fight that they wanted. And for both fighters give all their best and effort on the legal and proper way.

Mayweather chickened out???

Recently, Mayweather recorded a videotape stating that he will take a year or two off boxing to concentrate on his boxing gym.

Could this mean that Mayweather chickened out against the pound-for-pound boxing king Manny Pacquiao? That's a possibility and he might just be making an excuse to avoid that great fight everyone has been waiting, and the proving grounds of who really is the best pound-for-pound boxer of the world.

Mayweather - Pacquiao fight has been a talked ever since Pacquiao beat Miguel Cotto in the Dallas Stadium. Since then, the talks has been so intensive and during the first result, Mayweather end up wanting Pacquiao to undergo Olympic style drug testing in which the pound-for-pound king did not accept because of the reason that the process might affect his performance during the fight. Hence, the fight did not push through, instead, Pacquiao fought Ghanian Joshua Clottey wherein Pacquiao dominated the fight and destroyed the ultimate defense of Clottey. And in the other end, Mayweather fought Shane Mosley. Mayweather won the fight via unanimous decision.

After the Pacquiao - Clottey bout, the Mayweather - Pacquiao ultimate fight floats again. The team Pacquiao agreed to give what Mayweather is requiring but now Mayweather is telling that he wants to retire for a while in boxing.

Now, big names are emerging in line to fight Manny Pacquiao which includes Antonio Margarito, Juan Manuel Marquez and the to-be-negotiated rematch of Miguel Cotto and Pacquiao. "-the weight is too heavy-" according to one of the Team Pacquiao members when asked if they would also consider Yuri Foreman in the 154lbs. division. As for Mayweather, there is nothing waiting for him if he keeps on evading the megafight everyone wants to see. "it will not happen because of mayweather" - as one boxing commentator stated during the match of Yuri Foreman and Miguel Cotto.

Lame excuses are just for losers.

Before the match started there was a tribute entrance were in Z Gorres entered to watch the main event. He was struggling and tried hard to walk as he was accompanied by his wife Dutches. After the dramatic entrance that Gorres obviously feel some tears and was caught on video. The main event started and Michael Domingo was prepared to avenge his friend. On the first round Michael Domingo had been aggressive and kept throwing hard punches. Which some of them landed but Melendez absolute defense outstand. Before the end of first round Domingo made combinations and combo punches. But Melendez tries to counter punch him back.

On the second round as both fighters were analyzing each other. Domingo was once again relentless as he kept aiming and targeting Melendez almost everywhere. And with a perfect timing Domingo throws a powerful left hook as a body shot. Melendez would step back and then kneel down to feel the pain. Desperate and trying to get up before the 10th count Melendez attempted to stand up. But there was just too much pain the he displayed on his face. As an expression that keeps Melendez kneeling down and then the referee stopped the fight.

After the 10th count Domingo knew he won and he immediately run and raised his hands in front of Z Gorres. Gorres was so happy and he stood with joy and also raised his hand as a sign of great job.

Steven Seagal to have Manny Pacquiao in a movie?

Famous actor Steven Seagal visited the home of Manny Pacquiao in Los Angeles to discuss about making a movie with the boxing superstar.

Seagal have had his glory in the early 90's with great movies like "Out for Justice(1991)" and "Under Siege(1992)" and reportedly had a movie earning of more than $900 million worldwide. That was before when his latest movies flopped the movie industries.

Seagal confessed that he was a huge fan of the boxing superstar and have always followed his fights ever since. Pacquiao also admits that back in the Philippines, he idolized Seagal for his great movies back then.

Manny Pacquiao said that he is pumped for the planned movie if it will come true and is very much excited about how the story would go. Seagal stated that they may shoot the movie in the Philippines to make it more working-friendly to the boxing superstar.

After the meeting between Seagal and Pacquiao, they both left each other with presents. Seagal gave a signed poster to Pacquiao and Manny gave Seagal a signed glove too.

We can recall last year(2009), Sylvester Stallone also visited Manny Pacquiao and also discussed about being both in a movie.
